How your donations are helping Beirut right now

Beirut is still reeling from the massive explosion that took place on August 4th, killing over 200 people, injuring more than 6,000, and displacing over 300,000 from their homes. In the days that followed, the people of Lebanon came together, standing by those affected by the blast, helping them rebuild their homes, find their loved ones, and support them, both physically and emotionally.

At NokNok, the best is done to support NGOs and charities by creating the opportunity to pledge donations through the app. After the port explosion and in an attempt to assist the victims of the blast, additional associations were incorporated in the donations category. In the past two months, so many of our customers have contributed to giving the needed support to those working tirelessly on the ground.

Here are just some of the ways the contributions have helped Beirut rebuild itself.

Bassma is deeply committed to providing care and high quality services to children and families in need. Through its programs, the organization’s object is to implement a 3 to 5 year personalized rehabilitation program, focusing on education and employment, to help families gain their financial independence.
